Performance Profile:

Responsible for planning; system integration; design; engineering and problem solving for projectand the most technically complex issues. Activities are performed during all stages of project life cycle including: concept, design, implementation, test, operations and maintenance.
? Position requires someone who is flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment with new challenges and evolving priorities on a weekly basis.
? Provide technical consulting services to management, application development, quality assurance, computer operations, and customers. Interface with other services teams to support computer operations.
? Assist in planning, assessing, and deploying technologies, computer systems, operating systems and software to meet short and long-term objectives.
? Assist with analyzing, designing and implementing process automation opportunities to improve data processing efficiencies and ensure world-class service deliverable to the client and customers.
? Implement and monitor system administration processes and procedures to ensure efficient and effective utilization of systems and disk space, as well as data normalization and optimization of development, testing, and production environments.
? Position may require on-call support including planned and unplanned response to a 7X24 environment
? Must work well in on multiple projects and priorities
? Selected candidate will have to pass a Texas Department of Public Safety background check, including fingerprinting.

Position-specific Requirements:

? 6+ years Unix System Admin experience with SUN Solaris
? 4+ years application administration experience
? 4+ years experience on high volume web based applications
