Performance Profile:

The client haa significant investment in network information technology and related equipment. This equipment must be maintained at the highest possible state of readiness. Network equipment must be available to users during core business hours Monday through Friday (0700-1700), and on call with a two hour response window at all other times. The contractor shall provide a network engineer capable of maintaining and managing the client’s core information technology infrastructure of Windows based servers. This individual will ensure the network infrastructure is up and running, manage and maintain the server configuration, analyze system logs and identify potential issues, perform routine audits of systems and software, perform backups and recovery, apply operating system updates, patches and configuration changes during off peak hours, install and configure new hardware and software, add, remove or update user account information (reset passwords, etc), troubleshoot reported problems, perform system tuning, address issues raised during security scans, and monitor system performance and health within established industry standards. Microsoft certifications are desirable. The contractor will develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures related to the network and will report operational risks, concerns and issues to the contracting officer’s technical representative through the Operations Manager. Further, this individual will participate in the planning, implementation and management of server consolidation and in all IT refresh and modernization activities.

Position-specific Requirements:

• Active Top Secret Clearance
• 7+ years of network planning or network operations experience
• Technical Degree (Eng, CS or IT at Bachelors-level)
• Cisco-certification (CCNA/CCNP)
• 7+ years experience in managing and maintaining server configuration, analyzing systems logs and identifying issues; performing audits; performing backups and recovery; applying system updates, patches and config changes during off hours; configuring new hardware and software; adding, removing or updating user account information (reset passwords, etc); troubleshooting reported problems; performing system tuning; addressing issues raised during security scans; and monitoring system performance.
