Performance Profile:
Exciting opportunity for a qualified professional with businesand solution development experience. BearingPoint’s Information Technology Services Management (ITSM) practice provides assessment, design and implementation solutions for our Public Sector clients to improve their IT operations and service management processes and management technologies.
We seek a proven manager to drive growth and revenue by the supporting business development, solution development and vendor/partner management requirements of BearingPoint’s Public Services ITSM practice.
Primary responsibilities will be:
- Develop new engagement opportunities by collaborating with BearingPoint client account teams throughout the sales cycle:
- Assist account teams in developing sales strategies and qualifying potential opportunities.
- Support sales efforts by providing thought leadership to apply BearingPoint solutions to individual clients,
- Provide business perspective / technical support in meetings with prospective Public Services clients as part of the sales process
- Lead in the development of proposals in response to client RFP’s for ITSM services
- Work with our global services management solution leads and marketing team to create client collateral for our PS market, and to develop new services management solutions
- Collaborate with the BearingPoint Marketing team to support marketing opportunities such as presentations at industry conferences, web casts, speaking engagements, etc.
- Support business development and solution development activities by maintaining relationships with leading providers of ITSM software.
- Support resource management/recruiting process to ensure engagements are staffed with appropriate resources.
Position-specific Requirements:
- 5+ years experience working in a business development/sales in a technical environment; Public Service experience a plus
- 5+ years experience in developing, selling and delivering Service Management solutions
- 5+ years experience and certification with the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL)
- 3+ years experience in working in a multi-supplier environment a plus
- 5+ years familiarity with one or more leading IT management tools (e.g. HP Management Software, BMC Remedy, CA Unicenter, etc.)
- 5+ years strong Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Access
- BS or BA Degree in IT, Engineering or Business required
- US Citizenship required, DoD Security Clearance a plus.

Logistics:
