Performance Profile:
- Provide strategic planning, analysis, evaluation, integration and coordination required for information technology actionto successfully support BRAC, AMF and other required units moves or transformation at Fort Sam Houston (FSH).
- Coordinate IT actions with Base Transformation Office (BTO) personnel, FSH Directorate of Information Management (DOIM), unit IT points of contact and other Army, Air Force and Navy agencies to ensure that critical IT requirements are identified, planned for and integrated as part of the overall FSH transformation plan.
- Provide technical advice concerning policies, plans, requirements and objectives of IT programs.
- Serve as Project Manager for other discretionary unit moves to FSH. Responsible for customer relations, planning, coordination and integration of customer needs with Garrison and Installation staffs to ensure the successful transition of those units to FSH.
- Conduct conferences, investigations and/or periodic reviews to evaluate effectiveness of the various programs and to identify critical areas, determining courses of corrective or initial action developing short, intermediate and long-range plans.
- Update or provide information to maintain BTO tracking documents and information briefing slides.
- Review and evaluate the performance and status of information technology support requirements, i.e. IT equipment, software, systems, interfaces and networks, manpower and personnel, supply and facilities.
- Review and evaluate the impact of proposed program schedule changes on IT requirements and resources
- Consult with other key operating personnel of the Garrison and other Commands to assure adequacy and timeliness of support.
- Participate in accomplishing technical, analytical and advisory functions pertinent to the development of local policies, plans and processes and ensure that work accomplished is in compliance with higher authority regulations, policies and guidelines.
- Represent the BTO for IT issues with ISEC, NETCOM, COE, INSCOM, MEDCOM, Health Affairs and other government agencies as directed by the BTO.

Position-specific Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 years of work experience in chosen degree field or military background is required.
- Must have experience with complex planning issues, staffing procedures and be able to prioritize.
- Extensive (10+ years) experience working within the DOD IT community
- US Citizenship required

Position-specific Desired skills:
- Experience working with Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) desired, but not required
- Bachelors Degree

- Up to 10% travel possible
