Performance Profile:
• Thiposition is in support a government client in Jacksonville, Florida. The client provides services in support of IT/IM operated and customer-operated resources.

• The position serves as Systems Administrator in support of the area server systems and requires an AIS 2 Security Level and serves under the direction of an AIS 1 Lead Systems Administrator.

• Functions include, but are not limited to; administering and maintaining existing servers and systems to include: HP-UX 11.11 & 11.23, Solaris 10, Linux ES4, Windows 2003 server operating systems. Configure, install and maintain Unix-based operating systems and applications, perform computer hardware sizing studies and recommend adequate configurations needed to provide for current and future data processing workload, maintain system security to meet Navy C-2 Level security requirements. Work is performed as a member of a team of System Administrators under the direction of a government technical lead.

Position-specific Required Skills:
• 5+ years managing, monitoring and analyzing system and application performance. Utilizes system diagnostic tools to ensure availability and functionality of systems.
• 5+ years Installing and configuring Oracle Database Server, Oracle Application Server, IBM WebSphere applications, Apache/Tomcat and other applications on HP-UX, Linux and Solaris servers.
• Experience developing and maintaining documentation such as configuration, Operations and Maintenance, Functional System Descriptions and Operation Manuals.
• The Public Services sector supports the DoD, requiring candidates to obtain a security clearance that requires US Citizenship

Position-specific Desired Skills:

• Proficient in all parts of administering HP-UX 11.11 & 11.23, Solaris 10, Linux ES4, and a working knowledge of Windows 2003 server operating systems in a secure environment.
• User and group account creation and management, system resource management, disk management using Veritas Volume Manager.
• Digital computer systems and IT technology principals used for hosting numerous types of applications, i.e., business, industrial, database, scientific, graphical and financial.
• Knowledge to install and configure user application programs, on UNIX servers and tune system parameters to ensure best system utilization and efficiency.
• Knowledge of peripheral and input/output devices and communication equipment.
