Position Level of Resource Needed: BusinesConsultant

A Business Consultant is responsible for providing support, analysis, and implementation of systems or business
processes/change management. This position participates in the design and drives the completion of project deliverables, as well as problem-solving with client and business solution/functional experts independently. In this position, the Business Consultant is acquiring expertise in a particular specialty, either business or industry. The Business Consultant has daily contact with lower to middle level client staff for information and data collection and may also participate in client meetings. This position provides training and guidance to junior personnel.

Performance Profile: Systems Analysis Professional

- Demonstrate a strong software background including software development and/or database configuration management, including knowledge of server processing, networking and/or communications architecture
- Understand how COTS products are configured, interact with each other and are used to support application processing on servers
- Demonstrate strong client management skills and be able to work in an unstructured environment without supervision
- Demonstrate technical experience with complimenting project management experience
- Capable of leading software product selection projects from both a project management and technical perspective
- Demonstrate excellent write skills
- Demonstrate ability to write and elicit requirements, statements of work (SOW), selection criteria
- Understand of commercial off the shelf (COTS) software, its function and ability to run on the various platforms
- Understand enterprise data center technical and business challenges

Position-specific Requirements:

- 3+ years experience writing DoD 5000-mandated analysis, including Analysis of Alternatives, Life Cycle Cost Estimates, Economic Analysis, Initial Capabilities Documents, and other technical documentation.
- 3+ years Cost Analysis Experience required, preferably directly related to DoD Acquisition Programs.
Position requires a successful DoD background investigation.
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced Degree a plus.
