Performance Profile/Position Description:

*Performtraditional systems engineering functions such as high level system design, specifies system/component performance and interface requirements, and develops test plans
*Defines customer needs and required functionality early in a system development cycle; documents requirements and proceeds with a complete system design and validation before allowing a system to go operational;
*Supports system integration, including interface documentation and implementation; analyzes and evaluates architectural consistency among related programs and provides architectural-related recommendations to support customer decisions
*Supports data modeling activities
*Supports the development and implementation of risk mitigation procedures
*Provides program development test and evaluation support
*Supports implementation of configuration management processes and facilitates the implementation of SE Best Practices and process improvement
*Considers a complete problem in terms of operations, performance, test, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training and support, and disposal
*Develops technical baselines for mission and mission support programs, facilities, and activities; must possess an undergraduate degree in engineering or related discipline
*Perform in accordance with the C4ISR/ DoDAF process and Capability Maturity Model integrated (CMMi) best practices.

Position-specific Required Skills:

* 3 years or more experience as a system engineer on a federal government program that encompassed systems architecture, requirements analysis, design, production, integration, test, and transition to operations.
* 3 years or more experience with systems engineering experience obtained in Intelligence Community environment required.
* 2 years or more experience with programs with particular relevance to SIGINT, communications systems, and information technology.
* Minimum Bachelor’s degree with technology curriculum required. Master’s Degree preferred.
* Experience with telecommunications (ex. - TCP/IP, 0IS/CMIP/X25), operating systems (ex. - Windows, NT, UNIX), database/DBMS (ex. - Oracle, Access, Sybase) and applications (ex. - Tivoli, Peoplesoft, etc.), ITIL, and SEI/CMM desirable.
* TS/SCI - CI Polygraph or Fullscope Polygraph
